Family Council

The Gathering Waters Family Council helps build and maintain a strong sense of community and class unity in support of the Gathering Waters Chartered Public School mission. The Family Council goals are to:

  1. Enhance school communication among parents/guardians.

  2. Educate parents/guardians on opportunities to support school initiatives through volunteerism, philanthropy, and other forms of engagement.

  3. Support and appreciate Faculty and Staff as a coordinated parent/guardian body.

All GW parents and guardians are welcome to attend the monthly Family Council Meetings. The meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, meeting in-person quarterly (Sept., Dec., March, and June) and via Zoom for other monthly meetings from 6-7:30 PM. Please see the school calendar for more information.

Any GW Parent/Guardian who is interested in becoming a Family Council Class Rep or helping out in other ways, can contact the Family Council Co-Chairs, Leah Huntington lhuntington@gmail.com or Tiffany Mathews tgmathews@gmail.com.

Offering the gift of your presence and participation weaves us into a strong, healthy community.
