Family Council at the heart of our school community

The Gathering Waters Family Council brings parents and guardians together to help nurture a warm, connected school community. By strengthening communication, supporting faculty and staff, and creating welcoming opportunities to get involved, the Family Council plays an essential role in advancing the school’s mission and enriching daily life for all students.

The Family Council Works to:

  • Strengthen communication between the school and families

  • Share opportunities for parents/guardians to support school initiatives through volunteering, philanthropy, and other forms of engagement

  • Coordinate appreciation and support for faculty and staff

Monthly Meetings Are Open to All

FIRST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH, 6:00–7:30PM
All parents and guardians are warmly invited to Family Council meetings.

  • In-person meetings are held quarterly in September, December, March, and June.

  • All other meetings take place on Zoom.

  • Please refer to the school calendar for specific dates and links!

Getting involved is a wonderful way to meet people and make a difference. If you’re interested in becoming a Class Rep or helping out in other ways, please reach out to our Family Council Co-Chairs, Tiffany Mathews or Leah Huntington.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to stay connected to your child’s school experience and support our community. Parents, guardians, and other important adults are warmly encouraged to help in classrooms, on trips, and at events.

For the safety of all students, the state of New Hampshire requires that any volunteer working directly with children—including chaperones and drivers—must complete fingerprinting and a criminal background check through a Designated Volunteer process. (This requirement does not apply to the Craft Fair or school festivals.) Please allow up to two weeks for processing before your volunteer activity.
