Position Summary

Minimum of three years of teaching experience preferred
Waldorf teacher training and/or Waldorf teaching experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
NH teaching credential required
Compensation
Competitive salary commensurate with experience, $43,000–$60,000. Benefits include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, and professional development funding.

2026–27 Elementary Aftercare Coordinator
Job Title: Aftercare Coordinator
Department: Aftercare Program
Reports to: School Principal
Position Summary
The Aftercare Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting students at the end of the school day by creating a calm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment. This position ensures that children experience a home‑like rhythm in the afternoon, with opportunities for play, rest, creativity, and connection. The Aftercare program serves students who remain on campus beyond regular dismissal and is an important extension of the school day.
Specific Responsibilities
Coordinate program operations and student enrollments with support from Business Manager
Oversee the monthly billing process with support from Business Manager
Maintain consistent communication with parents
Collaborate with class teachers to support continuity of care
Lead play-based, developmentally appropriate activities following a weekly rhythm
Prepare and serve a healthy afternoon snack
Facilitate safe and orderly student pick-up procedures
Ensure the classroom is cleaned and reset after students depart
Support children in caring for the outdoor play yard and ensure it is tidied after use
Uphold all school policies, procedures and safety expectations related to the Aftercare Program
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree preferred
CPR/First Aid training certificate or willingness to complete required
Experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in a school or childcare setting
Lead/program coordinator experience preferred
Previous teaching experience in a Waldorf school preferred
Compensation
Job Type: Hourly to Full-time depending upon interest
Salary: $21/hr to start, potential for full-time salary $41,000 - $50,000 depending upon experience

Hours
2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (excluding non-school days)
Weekly food shopping for snack items (1 hr/week)
Possibility for growth to a full-time position as a substitute during the school day

Elementary School Assistant Teacher
Job Title: Assistant Teacher
Department: Student Support
Reports to: Faculty and Special Education Program Coordinator
Position Summary
The Assistant Teacher supports the Faculty and Special Education Program Coordinator. Specifically, the Assistant Teacher will provide learning support to those students with IEPs and 504s. Responsibilities include interacting closely with individual and small groups of students, tutoring students in basic math and English/language arts skills, and following student IEPs and 504 plans.
Specific Responsibilities
Support individual student IEPs and/or 504 plans as directed by the Special Education Program Coordinator
Title I: Lead individual and small group tutoring sessions in basic math and English/language arts
Assist the Lead Teachers in classroom management
Support students in quiet activities
Support students in their development of executive functioning skills
Transition the students between classes and to dismissal
Participate in weekly or every other week meeting with Special Education Program Coordinator and Class Teaches
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university preferred
Experience
Experience working with children with IEPs a must
Previous teaching experience in a Waldorf school preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.

Eurythmy Teacher
Gathering Waters opened its doors in 2021 as a K-12 chartered public school guided by the core principles of Waldorf education. The mission of Gathering Waters is to offer students an education that enables them to discover their interests and capabilities; explore the surrounding world; and cultivate a lifelong love of learning, a sense of community responsibility and an understanding of environmental sustainability.
Gathering Waters seeks Eurythmy Teacher candidates with proven teaching experience who are excited to work collaboratively with others. Ideal candidates possess a strong interest in Waldorf education, a background in Eurythmy, and are committed to serving a diverse population of learners.

Substitute Teachers
We are in the process of building our substitute teacher list. Even though we are part of the NH public school system, we do not have access to their pool of substitute teachers, so we need to build our own.
