Marcy was born into a family deeply involved in their community through the arts, nature and politics. This has continued to be a thread throughout her life.
She graduated from Goddard College where she met the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the Bread and Puppet Theatre, and wove into the night. Living in Camphill Communities was a wonderful preparation for the next chapter of her life.
For the past 40 years Marcy has lived in a shared household with her husband where she has her studios, her business Pear Tree Studio, the family summer program “Immersion in the Arts” and has completed endless artist-in-residencies.
Marcy is a founding member of Gathering Waters, where she teaches upper school handwork and fiber arts. She is deeply committed to its mission and success.
