Practical Arts Teacher
Hans is a state-juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and a Roster Artist for the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. A member of both the Mathematical Association of America and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Hans is currently serving as an artist-in-residence at Gathering Waters Charter School.
Born and educated in post-war Germany, Hans studied electrical engineering and served in the military before pursuing a variety of interests, including woodworking, fiber arts, tailoring, and work in Camphill communities in Germany and England. With over 30 years of experience as both a glass and wood artist, Hans took a formal step into teaching with Waldorf High School Teacher Training, bringing together his passion for geometry and the intersection of mathematics and the arts.
