Laura Kostenblatt began her career in outdoor education in Idaho through a Graduate/AmeriCorps program at the University of Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS). While teaching a variety of school groups throughout Idaho, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, she earned her Environmental Education Certificate.
Laura taught as the 6th–8th grade science teacher at Wilton-Lyndeborough Cooperative Middle School from 2020–2023. She then joined The Well School in Peterborough, where she served as Athletic Director and Physical Activities Teacher for students from preschool through 8th grade.
Laura is excited to bring her passion for outdoor education, movement, and hands-on learning to Gathering Waters Chartered Public School while embracing and contributing to its Waldorf-inspired tradition of education. She especially enjoys working with children of all ages and creating opportunities for students to connect with the natural world.
When she is not teaching, Laura volunteers as a firefighter and EMT with the Greenfield Fire Department. She also enjoys hiking, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
