Second Grade Teacher
Marypat has lived in the Monadnock Region for 38 years, and has been involved in education for most of that time. She taught preschool, and ran morning and afternoon care from her home. A former Division I athlete in college for four years, Marypat also coached and taught at Contoocook Valley HIgh School for almost 10 years. She taught K–6 Title I in several schools in the Monadnock School District and Harrisville-Wells Memorial School, and holds a MEd in Literacy from New England College.
Alongside teaching, Marypat also worked in the private sector in the magazine publishing business, and has a background in marketing and fundraising. She and her husband, a retired teacher of 36 years, have two adult sons and a new baby granddaughter. While raising their children, they traveled extensively throughout the US visiting family and National Parks.
Marypat and her husband now live in Peterborough, NH with their one-year-old terrier pup, Tulip.
