Ryon Clarke
Board Member
Ryon and his family have lived in the Monadnock Region for the past 12 years and have been connected to Waldorf education since their children attended Calendula Garden Children’s Center in Gilsum, NH. He is now a parent of two Gathering Waters students and is grateful to serve a school community that has played an important role in his family’s life.
In 2021, Ryon joined a group of like-minded parents and community members to help start Spring Hill Children’s Center—a nature-based, Waldorf-inspired early childhood program—following the closure of the Monadnock Waldorf School. That experience gave him a firsthand appreciation for the importance of strong governance, commitment, and practical planning in sustaining independent educational opportunities for our community.
Professionally, Ryon works in the life sciences industry, where he brings together science, product management, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership. He holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Virginia and has spent his career helping businesses translate complex product concepts into clear commercial strategies.
As a Trustee, Ryon hopes to be a steady and useful voice for Gathering Waters, helping the school care for the people, spaces, and traditions that make it such a meaningful place for children and families.
