Annette Kimball
Annette Kimball (she/they)
Fifth Grade Teacher
Originally from Long Island, New York, Annette has worked in education for over 20 years and has been part of the Waldorf movement for most of that time. She holds a bachelor's degree in Educational Theatre from New York University with a minor in psychology, as well as having studied music and special education topics at the college level. Currently on the path to Waldorf teacher certification, Annette has also taken several courses with the Center For Anthroposophy over the years. Her experience includes work at the Garden City Waldorf School and Monadnock Waldorf School as well as having several years experience teaching K-8 Drama & Theatre Arts in the New York theater community.
This year marks Ms. Kimball's second run teaching fifth grade at GWCS having spent her first two years with us in the Shining Star Kindergarten classroom. Annette has three children of her own and enjoys studying medicinal plants, experiencing music in all forms, and communing with the natural world.
