Jed Hart

Jed Hart (he/him)
Academic Support Administrator

Jed Hart is a transplanted resident of Marlborough, New Hampshire, that has been teaching in the region for the past 12 years. He received his degree in Unified Childhood and Special Education from Keuka College, and taught in a self-contained classroom in Trumansburg, New York, before moving to NH. Since then, Jed has been a special education teacher in Charlestown, NH, first as the lead teacher in an alternative education program, and for the past 11 years in the Charlestown Middle School. Jed has always had a passion for nature and the outdoors, and strives to integrate place-based outdoor education into his students’ curriculum, knowing the vast benefits of time outside. After his eldest daughter began attending Sophia’s Hearth in Keene, NH, Jed witnessed the philosophies of Rudolf Steiner play out, and realized that they dovetailed with, and enhanced his knowledge of outdoor education. He has since taken courses through LifeWays North America to deepen his understanding of Waldorf education, and the unfolding experiences and needs of children.
